NEA’s annual Read Across America Day is March 2. To help members celebrate Read Across America in their classrooms, and with help from NEA and WEAC, Region 6 is sending bookmarks and Dr. Seuss stickers free to Region 6 members who ask for them.
Read Across America is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on March 2, the birthday of renowned and beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss.
Region 6 has a limited of bookmarks, Dr. Seuss stickers available to Region 6 members on a first-come, first-served basis. To make a request for RAA materials please email Region 6’s Barb Simpson at firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, local association name, the name of the school where you work, the date when you will distribute the materials, and the number of students in your classroom. Please include a phone number in your message, and tell us whether you would be interested in having a guest reader visit your classroom for Read Across America.
